Oil on Wood

The Kiger Mustang was discovered in 1972 in a remote canyon in eastern Oregon. They are the last of their kind on the planet having bloodlines going directly back to the original Spanish stock brought over by conquistadors hundreds of years ago. There are between 85 and 135 roaming in the wild on BLM land in Oregon today.

With this painting, I wanted to show the connection that these animals share with their lineage in the past.
