Oil on Wood
While living in Oceanside, California, Stephanie and I would go on morning walks around the harbor. There was a ton of bird life, including this snowy egret that I spent way to long hanging out with. Birds like this one were once hunted extensively for their plumage. Their population has rebounded since the early 1900’s when hunting birds to decorate hats with feathers became less and less fashionable.
